PCBPad

Privacy policy · last updated 23 September 2026

PCBPad does not collect anything about you.

There is no account to create, nothing to sign in to, and the app makes no network requests of its own. This applies to PCBPad for iPad and for Mac.

Your work

Your boards and schematics are files. They stay wherever you keep them: on the device, in iCloud Drive, or in any location you reach through the Files app. PCBPad reads and writes them in place. It never uploads them, never copies them anywhere you did not ask for, and never looks inside them for any purpose other than showing them to you.

What stays on your device

Preferences, the folders you have loaded as libraries, the recovery snapshot that protects unsaved work, the version history, the home screen thumbnails, and the dates on which the app last asked for feedback. All of it lives inside the app's own container on your device, and none of it leaves.

Diagnostics

If the app crashes or freezes, the operating system hands it a report afterwards. PCBPad writes that report to its own folder so you can look at it later. It is never sent anywhere. "Export diagnostics" puts a copy where you choose, and what you then do with it is your decision.

Separately, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with developers if you have allowed it in your device settings ("Share with App Developers"). That is Apple's service, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings.

Feedback and email

The Feedback button, and the occasional question inside the app, open your own Mail app with a message already written. Nothing is sent unless you press Send in Mail. If you do, we receive your email address and what you wrote. We use them only to read and answer your message. The messages stay in the project's mailbox (pcbpad.app@gmail.com, hosted by Google) and we delete them, and anything you attached, whenever you ask.

No tracking

No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs, no fingerprinting. The privacy manifest inside the app declares the same thing to Apple. The App Store label for this app is "Data Not Collected".

Purchases

This version of PCBPad has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. If that ever changes, payments will be handled entirely by Apple, and this page will say so before the change reaches you.

Children

PCBPad collects no data from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything it stored in its own container. Files you saved elsewhere (for example in iCloud Drive or another folder) are yours, and stay until you delete them in the Files app. To delete emails you sent us, write to pcbpad.app@gmail.com.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. Questions: pcbpad.app@gmail.com.

In italiano
